Karaban Media Services (KMS) was established in 1969 in New York City and is one of the oldest independently owned and operated rep firms in the United States. Our initial responsibility was to handle the Northeast advertising sales responsibilities for three special interest magazines.

Over the past 40+ years, KMS has made a distinct mark in many diverse specialty fields. Among them are: Association publications in health information management and optometry; consumer publications dedicated to outdoor sports, business travel, home decorating & entertaining, and health & fitness; and trade magazines targeting retailers, managers, healthcare professionals, and scientists.

KMS has first-hand experience publishing both consumer and trade magazines, giving us an understanding of publishing not readily available to most advertising sales representative firms. With this valuable experience we are able to view publications from both general management and an advertising sales standpoint.
